Westminster, Colorado
72nd and Raleigh St. Bridge Replacement
This project included constructing a new single-span bridge structure over Little Dry Creek, a pedestrian bike path, and channel reconstruction. The project's close proximity to Westminster High School and its location within a park provided a high volume of multi-modal traffic within the project limits. The project involved significant storm and sanitary sewer work, new waterline installations, and utility relocations on both 72nd Ave and Raleigh Street.
Reconstruction of the existing creek channel included excavation, grading, MSE and cast-in-place walls, water diversions for the dry installation of rip rap and grouted boulders along the channel, drainage, roadway lighting and signalization, and irrigation. Concrete landscape walls were constructed along the channel to provide aesthetic planting areas. |
