Broomfield, Colorado
Lowell Blvd. to West 120th Avenue
Hamilton worked with the City of Broomfield to construct a 125-foot precast double arch bridge with decorative pedestrian steel railing and a 100-foot-long multi-modal underpass.
The project's scope involved widening and reconstructing a mile-long road and reconstructing the Nissen Channel to meet floodplain requirements. Channel excavation required diverting water and phasing construction activities. Working adjacent to existing wetlands presented challenges. Work required managing Preble mice, dewatering and treating groundwater, landscaping, native seeding, and wetland restoration. |
