Tok Cutoff MP 75.6 Slana River Bridge #0654
This project included the replacement of Slana River Bridge #0654 and the reconstruction of the north and south approaches. The replacement bridge is a 2-span structure with an overall length of 224 feet and an overall width of 39 feet. Piers consisted of four, 36-inch-diameter piles driven to a depth of 90 feet each with one splice per pile. A template was constructed to ensure proper alignment and control of the pile during installation.
Hamilton placed over 1,900 CY of concrete, batched and transported 61 miles. Proactive planning allowed for the detour structure to be installed during the summer before the construction season. |
